Wadud Bhuiyan ((ベンガル語:ওয়াদুদ ভূইয়া); born 5 January 1965) is a Bangladeshi politician. He was the first Bengali person to be elected MP by a Chittagong Hill Tracts constituency of Bangladesh. He was elected member of the Jatiyo Sangshad (Bangladeshi Parliament) from Khagrachari constituency twice, in 6th and 8th National Parliamentary Elections. In addition, he served as the first civilian chairman of the Chittagong Hill Tracts Development Board from 2001 to 2006. He currently holds the posts of president of Khagrachari District unit and member of Central Executive Committee of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party. Earlier, he acted as the secretary-general of this unit of the party. == Early Life and Education == He was born on 5 January 1965 in Ramgarh Upazila, Khagrachari District. His father's name is Saleh Ahmed Bhuiyan and mother's name is Biya Saleh. He has two daughters, Bansharee Wadud and Apsharee Wadud. Wadud Bhuiyan graduated B.S.S (Hons) from Chittagong University in 1985 from the department of Sociology. He completed his post-graduate work in M.S.S (Masters) in 1986 from the same department of Chittagong University.
